    Frequently Asked Questions

    Why cash only?

There is no upfront or deposit payment needed when you sign up for a workshop or One on One consult. This eliminates the need for refunds if you are unable to attend and prevents payment cancellations with electronic payments. I also do not want anyone to incur additional credit card debt to attend the workshops. Life happens, I only ask that you call to cancel, so others can sign up.

    Why don’t you represent people?

The whole idea behind these workshops is to provide the knowledge and tools needed to resolve one’s tax issues without the need for representation. I want people to know they have options and can do this themselves. I also want to provide a venue where people can come learn and ask questions without having to pay a representative. With the right information and questions to ask, you can handle this issue like a pro. As for representatives, you are welcome to attend and participate in the workshops, if not to learn about some topics, but to brush up on some collection issues.

Why limited to 5 people per workshop?

I want these workshops to be small enough to ensure everyone has the opportunity to ask all their questions. I also want to keep the time within 2 to 3 hours to ensure delivery of all the topics. I hope these small, affordable workshops will allow individuals to learn and ask questions without any hesitation. The workshops are open to individuals, students and professionals, which will allow everyone to learn more with the different questions asked. Remember, no personal information is needed, only a first name to sign up.

Why would I need a One on One consult after attending a workshop?

If you understand everything and all your questions were answered, you will not need a One on One. If you need help with or would like to review your forms, would like help with budgeting or to address your specific questions, then a One on One may be beneficial. While the workshops include quite a bit of information and reference some forms, we do not review forms during the workshops.

Why are you offering these workshops?

I want to educate the public about their options and improve their confidence with resolving their tax debts. You are your own best advocate and only you know what you can and cannot afford. My goal is to educate individuals, so they can resolve their debt in an affordable manner. I also want to prepare individuals, before contacting the IRS and FTB, with questions and knowlesge about their accounts, so they can resolve their balance in a more efficient manner and with less stress.
