Collection Alternatives offers two different workshops, the options only workshop is only 1 to 2 hours long and focuses on the 6 options available to resolve tax debt. The collection process workshop discusses the 6 options and other collection issues involved in the collection process.
My workshops are educational because they teach you about the collection process and how to navigate the available options. For example, what terms are included with an Installment Agreement and Offer in Compromise. What items are included in a financial review and which options require a financial review. We also discuss statutes, appeals and the different types of liabilities.
My workshops are very informative, I not only provide you with a list of questions to ask when you call the IRS/FTB, but we will review them and discuss why they are important. We also review withholding and estimated tax payments, which can help you from having future tax debts.
My workshops are meant to be very informal, no personal information needed, everyone from individuals to professionals are invited and they are very reasonably priced for all the information provided. I encourage people to come with their questions, because the whole point is to provide a place to learn, discuss and inquire about how to resolve tax debts. The 5 person limit will allow each person to ask all their questions in the time given. If some feel they have more specific questions and would like to discuss their options, then they can schedule a one on one to review forms and financials, again with no requirement for personal information.
