Collection Alternatives workshops talk tax relief options, help you get to know your tax debt and answer your questions

Collection Alternatives workshops not only discuss tax relief options, but we help you get to know your tax debt and answer your questions.

Collection Alternatives workshops include discussions about types of liabilities, trust fund recovery penalty, statutes, how to dispute a liability, appeals, levies, liens, withholding and best of all answer your questions. The above items all influence your decision on how to resolve your tax debt. For example, statutes play a very important part when setting up an installment agreement, if the statute is short then the payment will be larger than if the statute is longer. Your appeal rights may provide you with an opportunity to dispute the liability, if you have not had a prior opportunity. Once a lien is filed, it cannot be removed unless filed in error or the balance if full paid, which makes it important to consider when entering an installment agreement, especially if you own real property and do not want a lien filed. While the above information is valuable, the best part of the workshops is the ability to ask questions. We always suggest attendees call to confirm some basic information like, current balance, lien filed, statute on each year and why you owe for each year. These initial items will allow you to get to know your tax debt and ask more specific questions during the workshop.

If you have questions or would like to sign up for a workshop, call me, Nathalie Raygosa, I run Collection Alternatives at 559-614-7729 or visit my website at collectionalternatives.com.
